Making the most of lum
How lum move, what you can earn, and how to fund your first request.
Earning
The main way is testing, once a moderator has verified your profile and given you the badge. Every test shows its exact reward before you claim it — it depends on the product, how long it takes to use or read and what the test report must include, never on your rating. It lands in your balance the moment you claim, and it's yours to keep once a moderator verifies the report. A rejected, expired or cancelled test takes it back. You also get 50 lum when you join, 2,000 when a friend you invited has their first test report verified, and 10 for a community post.
Spending
Opening a request sets its full cost aside up front. Slots from expired or rejected claims go back into the request, and anything unused is refunded when it closes.
Good to know
Lum lives only inside Sharelum: it can't be bought, sold, withdrawn or transferred. Every movement is recorded, so your balance is always explainable.
